Adam and Brenden discuss the Celtics first preseason game

Payton Pritchard exceeding initial expectations, Robert Williams running hot and cold throughout the night, and Brad Stevens gushing about Jeff Teague’s impact on the offensive end. Those were all storylines coming out of the Celtics’ first 2020-2021 action and the CelticsPod team dive into the best and worst of the team’s performance in the latest CelticsPod episode.

Brenden, who came in to the game low on Pritchard, is starting to have a change of heart, while I was very impressed with what his ability to create separation off the dribble. allowing him the space to get his shot off.

In Friday’s episode of the show, we discussed the hypothetical over/under on how many Javonte Green dunks we would see, and with him starting the game, both of us hit the over.

Then there was Jaylen Brown’s performance, as he struggled from the field, and lead the team in turnovers. Despite the fifth-year wing’s struggles, we were both very zen on his performance, understanding that Brown is attempting to add playmaking to his offensive repertoire while also trying to ramp up his fitness in preparation for the new season.
